I wrote this at 4:45am on Wednesday December 12, 2012 – The most anomalous day of our modern calendar.
Last week (December 21, 2012) the world was supposed to implode. But if you’re reading this, I suspect it’s because we managed to by-pass that particular tragedy!
In a mere few days, the year will turn as it always does.
And your ‘newfound’ goals, ideals and ambitions will begin in earnest (again).
But our manmade measurements of time should provide no extrinsic motivation for you.
Not the turning of a year, the commemorative annual decrees nor the incidental paradoxes of time and space (such as 12/12/12 or 11:11am).
After all, every day is epic and worth celebration… Embrace that as your own personal doctrine of choice. There is no day like today; no matter what the calendar says. Use it well and use it wisely.
That being said, here’s what I wrote on 12/12/12. I hope it provides you a degree of perspective on all that’s happened over the past few weeks and a renewed outlook for the impending New Year.
I offer this as an inspirational thinking point, absent cynicism or negativity…
I am very curious to see who will post about, comment on, share or like topics related to it being 12/12/12.
Hype the anomaly.
Romanticize the uniqueness.
Idealize the originality.
Trumpet the imagination and opportunities for new.
And then leave Face Book…
… To live the same life they’ve always had and still in search of ‘the sign’ they think they need to finally follow their dreams.
Now is all you have.
But fortunately, it’s all you’ll ever need.
